Transilvania Pitch Stop winner goes to Berlin
Award-winning Georgian director Rati Tsiteladze and his project, The Empty House, will be one of the 10 Talent Projects to be presented in the Berlinale Co-production market
Award-winning Georgian director Rati Tsiteladze and his project, The Empty House, will be one of the 10 Talent Projects to be presented in the Berlinale Co-production market in February, 2018. He was selected from over 3100 applicants from 133 countries.
In June, Rati Tsiteladze won the first Eurimages Co-production Development Award of Transilvania IFF. The award amounting Euro 20,000 is part of the Transilvania Pitch Stop, an initiative focused on development and pitching of local and international feature film projects, focusing on Romania and the countries around it such as Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Greece, Turkey and Georgia.
Ever since, The Empty House was shortlisted for Sundance Screenwriters Lab and won Opens’ Door Special Mention Award at Locarno Festival.
