Projects selected for the second edition of Drama Room, organised in partnership with Netflix Romania
Five series or mini-series projects in development have been selected for the second edition of the Drama Room programme, and their creators are preparing to meet with Netflix experts invited to TIFF from 17-26 June. 36 projects have been submitted for the programme.
Filmmaker Eilon Ratzkovsky is the lead tutor for the Drama Room 2022 programme, designed specifically to help creators hone their show production skills and understand the dynamics of the international market. With a career spanning over more than 25 years, Ratzkovsky has produced feature films and TV series in Israel and around the world. For the past two years, he has been a tutor for TorinoFilmLab and Biennale College Cinema.
The five projects selected for participation in the program are:
Dark Histories - Alex Țibu & Șerban Racovițeanu (winners of the first edition - in 2021 - of the Full Moon Script Contest, in the section dedicated to pilot episodes of series/miniseries, with the project The "Bâlea Lac" Case/Dark Histories).

During this edition of Drama Room, the creators of the selected projects will go through a complex programme, including group workshops and applied feedback workshops with the programme's tutor, Eilon Ratzkovsky, a case study of a successful series from Eastern Europe and a working session with Anna Nagler, Director of Local Language Original Series for Central and Eastern Europe, and Christopher Mack, Director of Creative Growth for Netflix International, which will focus on fundamentals of storytelling.
