Magnificent Sky

Theory and practice meet the noise of reality in a portrait of avant-garde Romanian composers Iancu Dumitrescu and Ana-Maria Avram. Driven by the high ideal of a worldwide revolution in sound, the two artists elaborated a seminal philosophy around composition and interpretation. They remained consistent in their quest, loyal to a phenomenological approach to music. The film explores this sonic adventure from its protagonists’ perspective and is a meditation on time, loneliness, and death.
